| For some reason my amp will turn on and off randomly, I recently rewired my system so that no wires would be showing. But now this problem happens, my amp will lose its power but the cap stays on while listening to a song.
Bassworx 500W RMS Sub
MTX Thunder 600W RMS
4 Gauge Wiring Kit
1 Farad Cap
Anyone have any idea why? |

Anyone have any idea why? | well if it worked fine before and doesn't now... it is probably the wiring. It could be the positive or ground line and as Scy5 mentioned do a wiggly-jiggly to find out which it is. It could also be your remote turn on line and that is probably loose or was damaged and needs splicing. basically we have all done this to ourselves sooner or later and sadly more than once too |

| Ground had a bit of dust with it somehow, dusted that off, it worked for a bit. I still have the problem though, sometimes it won't be on for long periods of time, sometimes it will. I noticed though when I'm turning while driving, it will turn back on again. Theres also a hissing noise coming from the amp, where all wires are plugged in.
Could it be a problem with the amp itself? Although I don't see how it could have something gone wrong, the hissing never happened before.
Thanks guys. |

| I had the same problem with my Xtant. It turned out it was a bad solder on the electrical input. I took it into a shop and the fix cost me something like $25
