| The blue light definitely says you have power, always trust the blue light. run a jumper from the + to the amp to the remote turn on... that should turn on the amp (if this does turn on the amp remember you have to disconnect the remote turn on to turn off the amp). This will verify your crimped wire theory, the voltage for the remote turn on needs to be at least 11 volts or so so a couple broken strands of copper would do it in.
