well i just got a JVC KD-BT1 deck for my 96 ford probe gt...and the installation was pretty easy....
i dint even do the amp bypass....all the wiring was done from the deck itself...
all stock speakers btw..

the front right and rear right sound perfect...
the front left is completely dead...and the rear left is low..
the volume of the left rear goes up kinda high when i pump up the volume...

we tried direct wiring to the front right speakers and the speaker seems fine when its direct..so im thinking its something with the stock wiring...
i dnt wana redo the wiring coz it will get messy with the wiring passing the wires to the door....

any ideas on wat i can do???

btw i tried the amp bypass....it just makes both rears die out...coz the amp bypass doesnt bypass the rear wires for some reason....

correct me if im wrong...btw the right rear speaker wires are separate...ie the green and green black....and the green red wires...that is also on the amp... if i bypass the amp...that set of wires doesnt go anywhere....

please help......

check resistance or voltage drop with a dvom (volt meter). This will tell you if there is a poor connection from the source to the speaker. Based on what you said, direct wiring yields a properly operating speaker, then there is something wrong in the factory wiring or it is routed through some other component, amp?? You can try some wire taps just before the wire enters the door with new wiring directly from the deck. If it sounds good, then simply cut and solder the wires and that will avoid you having to go through the doors boots.

i was helpin RIZ_87 with the installation; we hooked the stereo up directly, stereo-----speaker an it worked fine, so the factory setup is messed up. we even tried to put new wires in, but the boot from the door that your talkin about are connected by sockets, and its impossible to run wires through it
