I agree with everybody else here, that you need to read and understand the fundamental basics before attempting to ask such a general question.....

Maybe goto Futureshop, or BestBuy and pick the brains of some of the guys who work in the car audio dept., and once you have a better grasp, come back here and you will then know what a crossover (and other important audio components are).
