2006 Grand Prix - How Much B-Quiet would I need?

First of all, I'm not 100% sure exactly what I need to do, but I was looking at E-bay and they have good pricing from Canada for B-Quiet I am just unsure of how much I would need.

I want to do the front doors for sure, the trunk and then I'm not sure if I should do the whole floor or roof?

Thoughts and QTY suggestion from someone who's done this before in a similarly sized car would be great.

Thanks!
Jay

I had 100 sq ft in my 06 grand prix GT and was able to do the whole trunk including trunk lid and rear deck where the 6x9 are on top and underneath, and thats it. I only put on 1 layer and overlapped by 1/2".

I would get at least that much. Make sure you get the B-Quiet Ultimate, cause its Butyl based, rather than the ashpalt based stuff. Im sure its fine, just dont like the smell, plus the butyl stuff stands up to heat a little better.

you will know by the smell. Asphalt based stuff smells a hell of alot worse than the butyl. When I got my B-Quiet Ultimate, it was really sticky. Ime sure you have the right stuff. Did you order from Ebay or the distributor?

can't really comment on the b quiet stuff but I can say that I have at least 100+ sq. ft. of dynamat extreme and 10+cans of sreat stuff foam to help quiet my gp.

You will probably want to pull off the bumper casing and foam it in and apply some b quiet to the tubular bumper. Also taking off the wing and foaming it in will help.

Love to see another GP driver getting loud!

So I did the Drivers side door yesterday, the trunk/trunk lid etc. and under the rear deck. This stuff really doesn't smell and is super stick so should be the right stuff. I went through LOTS of Nitrile gloves yesterday lol. I have the passenger door left to do.

We'll see how it goes after that and I will add as needed.

I have a GXP and I figured I have the GO (505whp, Turbo V8, built tranny) now I need a little more show and enjoyment from the car.
