so i was having a problem wtih my front set of MB components(crossover is (#*$*ed), at first thought it was the wiring, so i rewired the whole truck to run all the speakers directly to the amp, still same problem, i bought a new deck and mid/high amp to see if that would fix the problem as my old deck crapped out on me along with the MBs, still not the problem

after i installed the new HU (alping 9833) i had a problem with the CD player NOT turning off after i turn the key off and open the door, turns out it only did that because i didnt have the plug running behind the dash plugged in, although i didnt have that problem with the pioneer dehp9300 i had in previously

so i had everything working and i decided to take the front door panels off and see why the MBs were not working, turns out the xovers are all corroded and quite old, tweeters wont even work, everything is working like it did before just with the front stage not sounding right

i go inside for a bit, shower and go to buy some more speakers for the front doors (infinity 6001c) and when i pull away, the constant beep you hear from your lights being left on when your truck is off is ON and it WILL NOT TURN OFF unless i take the key out

also my dome and door lights STAY ON all the time, and my new HU is staying on all the time just like the way it did when, but they turn off when i hit the dome light on/off button next to the headlight switch

as of right now the door panels are off and sitting here in my room, but the window plugs and all the door lights are still plugged in, the only thing NOT connected exactly like it was before is the tweeter on the left side, although when i have my door open with the dome light button pushed in and i turn the key to OFF the radio and lights stay ON, but as soon as i hit the dome light button, it turns off

i cant think of anything else other than the wiring being totally screwed up somewhere, although it worked before i took the door panels off, BUT everything is still plugged in the way it was

i dont understand whats going on here

any help would be appreicated
thanks

I would start checking your deck wiring and work your way back to your amp....measure your RCA cables and speakers for shorts to ground. You are basically going to trouble shoot the system....kinda tough if you dont know what to look for.

In a situation like this it is often easiest to strip everything out of the vehicle and re-install......you dont have too much gear anyways.

if its a gm truck the door pin is at the end of the dash and the door panel pushes the pin in
so essentially without your door panel it thinks the door is still open
