| I was visiting the shop in sarnia and the guys were trying to install a dei brand alarm/remote start on a new Prius.
They weren't able to source a good wiring diagram (they even had dei on the phone but to no avail), or locate what they figured would be an "igintion" wire.
Of course being the hybrid and all it has quit a different starting procedure with only the electric power firing up first; but the engine comes on when heat is called for in the cabin and of course this is what the owner wants.
Have any of the installers here dealt with this yet?
I'd like to help the guys at the shop if I can get an answer. Either a wiring code or other solution.
Thanks! [ September 08, 2005, 06:14 PM: Message edited by: Fever ] |

| Well according to the directed site they were using (they are authorized dealers) it was not correct. They were showing wires that were not there iirc...
Have you done one using the dei authorized site instructions Shaughn? |

| Has anyone ever seen an SQ setup in a Prius? It strikes me as being an excellent SQ vehicle with the dash shape, low noise floor, ample electrical power, and lots of room
(the 2003 looked a little more promising than the current model) |

I checked out Clarion's site but couldn't find anything; and google astrochart and I'm in with the Wicans and Druids...
So yes if you have anything on the Prius I am interested.
Thanks. |
