if your stock deck is single din with a pocket then you don't need a kit for install. If you take the factory deck out it will be conected to the pocket with two brackets right and left. this will give you an iso mount. Just unscrew the factory deck and put your aftermarket deck in the exact way the factory came out, but you need the original oem brackets, if not go to a wrecking yard and pick them up.

you can also get a toyota pocket that will take up the extra space! that is if there is not already a pocket bellow the factory unit! make shure that u line the deck and pocket up with the facplate off the deck. they should line up perfect.

i've got the deck where the stock radio was right now, fits perfectly. however, if i were to place where the double din opening is it would be a little less visible, so i wouldn't have to worry about taking the faceplate off and carrying it with me.

that is actually exactly what I need, and it's for my generation of corolla as well. only this is $16USD shipping to me. trying to find a retailer in canada that might have it.

trust me u don't want to use that kit! we sell them out of the store for 25 bucks. not something that i would recomend. the way u have it is the best. you can resess the the unit by moving the deck further back in the brackets if that is your concern.

to do this u just line things up with the face plate on the unit. then drill the holes on the marked spots and re screw the factory brackets to the deck!

this should look great.

that's a pretty good idea actually. i will see what i can do this weekend. i just recently learned that the deck "slides in/out" using those L-tools and is not really "locked" into place with this mounting bracket.

if i screw up drilling, you got extra set of those left/right brackets i could buy off ya?
