| I have to install an amp in this 99 Cavy, and I'm not too familiar with the car, so I was wondering if anyone had either some instructions or better yet pics on how to get the deck out so I can run my RCAs and remote wire for the deck. It has an aftermarket mounting setup with a pioneer mp3 deck. I more or less would just like to know how much work it is to pull the deck out.
PICS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME!

| Take the trim ring off the Pioneer deck, insert the removal "keys" into the sides between the deck and the kit, and pull the deck out. |

| Don't you SPL guys do things a little ghetto? Use a monster common screwdriver as a prybar after hammering it in with a 5 pound sledgehammer. That oughtta remove it for you.

You take a drill, and drill a small home in the dash, the proceed to use either a jigsaw or router to neatly and carefully cut the deck out of the dash....
Thats the SPL way!!
But seriously,DWVW has it right...should pull out in a matter of seconds...

| that is not even close to how to remove factory stereo from a cavalier.. they are in no way similar except they use the same harness, plate and antenna adapter... the cavalier needs to have to the top of the dash removed in order to access the screws that hold the trim that covers the sides of the radio

| MTA's Right. Thoes Cavys are a bit of a whore, except that in the first post he said there was already an aftermarket deck in, so for him the job is simple now.
