ya, we'll for a little tease. We got a 98 chevy pickup with 2 18" solo x's. The extended cab is a box basically, runnung soundstream XXX-10000. Very nice.

solo x's are a waste... they done have very much excursion... the mtx superwoofers have more

of course 2 18's are gonna be crazy loud... dosent even matter what brand... if p-p excursion is the same and cone size is the same... displacement is the same... the only reason they are loud is cuse they are square...

excursion really doesnt mean a whole lot in SPL. solo x's are very good subs. just have a bit of a weak cone which is being dealt with for the new 2007 models which are coming out soon. Solo X will stomp any mtx sub in spl.

Hey, I'm new to the forum and figured this would be a good place for my first post. I just moved to Edmonton about a year ago.
Any suggestions on a good shop for installations in the Edmonton area?

you need to give those subs more power to get them really moving. or run that amp on a 16 volt setup

you cant really compair a kicker solox to any mtx sub lol... ok then... i pretty sure that the solo x has about .3 inches of x max... where the mtx superwoofers have coser to 1 inch of x max...
cone area plus xmax is displacement... kicker makes square subs... more cone but not necessarily better... i pretty sure if mtx created a square sub it would be pretty dam close to a kicker sub...


but what is the solo x... the kicker sub god... it is the best sub they make...
now on the other hand what is the best sub mtx makes... the jack fuggin hammer... im prettu sure who would win that spl battle.
