Basically it went down like this.....
There was a set of rules in terms of posting shows and a lot of people were breaking them. This was allowed to slide for a while because we (the mods) didn't want to come off as ruling with an iron fist.
Our leniency was abused and there got to be too many threads about shows for different shops so they were closed.
The mod team then discussed and we've come up with a more lenient set of rules but one that we thought would also make sure that we protected the paying vendors.
Since the threads met our new set of guidelines they were reopened.
We're still working on the wording for the guidelines so I can't post them just yet but I think they'll work well to keep members happy who want to hear about shows and also continue to protect the vendors.
In any case, we're honestly just trying to keep everyone happy.
