justin, get an amp, and figure out your class later. it's easier to upgrade your system now. who know's you might buy an amp for one of the new classes, but they may change the rules, again, and then you're stuck with a pinner amp, and still have to buy a bigger one later.. Get a big amp first, you could always turn down the gains until you get more/bigger speakers. in the end it will save you time, money and grief, rather than builing a system around a class that you will only be able to compete in for one season anyways..........next season you'll have to move up to another class....
