So I did it!!

I booked off the entire week leading up to this event to get my car ready...on holiday pay of course!!

I have a list a mile long of things to do..

mic testing
rewiring
body work
clean the enterior(friend Lisa offered to help with that
Put a new upper intake and valve cover on(painted and polished)
if money allows,a set of overloader springs in the rear(the back end sags a little)
change alternators
detail under the hood

yes a bit excessive..but hey this maybe the biggest event I will ever attend...might as well go for it,right?

Hello everyone,

Just a little more info about the triple pointer. I was in calgary yesterday and checked out the facility, and man it is really really big. Imagine if you will 175 000 sq ft on indoor space. Very big.

The guys have a block of rooms booked at the Comfort Inn that is close to the university, I don't have and address and phone # yet, but when I get them I will post it. The rooms are blocked at $85.00 per night, The will sleep 4 comfortably 2 queen size beds, that also includes a free continental breakfast for all 4 occupants.

There will be power available at the event as well the outlets are $65.00 each, but you should be able to split that with 4 people.

All vehicles must be in the building by friday night at 10:00pm because the vehicles need to be certified before the end of the night. All vehicle inside the building can only have 1/4 tank of gas or less, gas caps must be taped as well. Vehicles inside the building, must also have a drip pan. These are very important. If you do not have a drip pan when you get there I
will personally send you to get one.

There will also be trailer parking available for those of you that will be towing their vehicles. Not 100% sure on the cost yet so I will post that info later.

So this is 65 on top of the entry fee to use power in the building correct? What kind of amperage can we draw from this outlets?

a drip pan, how about a larg peice of card borad?
and using the buildings power, can we just drive out side and let our cars run for a re charge?

No you can not use a piece of card board, I would be alright with using a oven drip pan. or something similar. Oven drip pans are only like 4 bucks from any grocery store. No you will not be allowed to drive in and out of the facility. This is an indoor event not and in/out event. If you need to charge between runs, get a charges and split an outlet with some guys around you.

Will we see anyone from southern Alberta? Team Tuned, DWVW...possibly others? hope you guys can make it out!
